Section 7: Institutional Oversight for Fieldwork
If any biohazards are likely to be encountered, including the handling of animals that may harbor infectious disease or zoonotic agents, an Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) review and approval of the work is required. Animal use and handling fall under the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).
