Walk-ins are always welcome; however, wait times can be long, and we may ask you to come back another day if our schedule is full. To save time, we recommend using the Appointments tab in our Patient Portal to schedule your visit in advance.

If you do not see the reason for your visit in the portal, please call us at (775) 784-6598 and we’ll help schedule you.

Services, appointments and fees

Our services

The Student Health Center offers a spectrum of services to students, such as nutritional support, radiology, acute/urgent care, psychiatry, reproductive/sexual health, immunizations and more.

Patient Portal

Set up your patient portal to complete forms, review statements and to be able to receive secure messages from Student Health Center staff. As a reminder, students should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment.

Insurance and fees

If you have paid your student health fee, there is no charge for primary care office visits. Additional services, such as x-ray, lab work and medications may have associated costs. The mission of the Student Health Center (SHC) at the University of Nevada, Reno is the provision of high quality medical care to the student community, to promote healthy living, to stimulate better health awareness and to educate students and staff in therapeutic and preventive care.

In 2023, the Student Health Center was awarded renewed accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
