Associate Professor of Economics

Summary

Dilek Uz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Nevada, Reno, and Research Faculty in the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources. Her research focuses on energy and environmental economics, the energy-water nexus, climate change impacts, and resource economics. She has collaborated with international organizations, including the World Bank, and her work has been published in leading journals such as Energy Economics, Energy Economics, American Journal of Agricultural Economics.  Her scholarship addresses renewable energy, electricity markets, and resource economics. Current projects examine household adoption of renewable energy, rural energy systems, and the economic implications of extreme weather on electricity infrastructure.
