What will I learn in a bachelor's degree in accounting program?

The accounting major provides students with the theories and procedures necessary to prepare them for the many facets of the accounting profession, such as public, managerial, tax and government accounting. Students graduating from the department are prepared to obtain employment in a competitive job market, start a business, or continue their education in graduate and professional degree programs.

If you graduate with a Bachelors degree with a major in accounting, and have taken the appropriate electives, you are qualified to sit for the CPA exam in the State of Nevada. Contact the Nevada State Board of Accountancy for more details. For specific requirements in any other state or jurisdiction, refer to the appropriate regulatory body’s website.
