Summary
I am returning to higher education after 15 years as an elementary school teacher and digital marketing manager for Dictionary.com. I earned my BA in Communication Studies with a minor in African Studies from the University of San Francisco. During my studies, I volunteered with a nonprofit in South Africa working with street children orphaned by HIV/AIDS and have continued that work throughout my career, volunteering with local AIDS organizations and training teachers to incorporate health education into their classrooms. These experiences, along with my years in education, shaped my deep belief that learning is strongest when students feel supported, connected, and valued. I am truly excited to be part of the College of Business and to walk alongside students as they navigate their academic journeys and work toward their goals.
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening and woodworking. I love teaching my two children how to care for our planet and community, whether through tending their elementary school garden or building little free libraries around town.
