How to set up your Coursera faculty or staff account

Step 1: Use the UNR Coursera Career Academy – Faculty & Staff link to go to the Coursera website and create your account.

Step 2:  Click the Join button in the upper right-hand corner.

Step 3: Select “Log in with University of Nevada, Reno”.


Step 4: This will take you to the standard single sign on (SSO) interface for UNR. Use your NetID and password to login.


Step 5: At this point, you will be prompted to create a Coursera-specific password. This additional password will ensure that you can maintain your Coursera access after you graduate. (You can also add an alternate email address in your Coursera account settings.)

Step 6: You can now browse through the various credentials based on topic using the filters shown. You can also use the search tool at the top of the page to search for additional topics/credentials.
