Summary

Bridget Speer Loring has worked as a special education teacher in Northern Nevada since 2013.Before becoming a teacher, Bridget worked in social services, including the fields of child welfare, adaptive recreation and vocational rehabilitation. Her roles have included educator, case manager, recreation coordinator, as well as policy development and program oversight specialist. Currently, she is a high school Social Intervention Program teacher, where she works with students with social, emotional and behavioral goals and their families. She enjoys working in collaboration with families and students to develop goals to achieve the best possible outcomes both in and out of academic settings.

Bridget believes in the provision of family-informed services as just one of the tenets of a socially just, vibrant society. She seeks to help facilitate environments that honor and celebrate diversity, equity and opportunity for all.
