Student Nutrition Association

The mission of The Student Nutrition Association (SNA) at the University of Nevada, Reno is to provide a framework for meaningful student involvement and to foster interest in the profession of nutrition, including nutritional science and dietetics. This organization strives to broaden the reach of nutrition education through nutrition related activities and to provide credible nutrition information to the campus community and the Northern Nevada community. SNA will serve as a networking forum, offering guidance and support, and encourage student engagement in the diverse areas of the field of nutrition.

While many members are majoring or minoring in nutrition, we have members of other degrees that also share a passion for food, nutrition and leading healthy lifestyles! We volunteer with local organizations, as well as promote overall wellness and nutrition on campus and throughout the community. Members will establish an affiliation with the Nevada Association of Nutrition and Dietetics (NVAND) and will have opportunities for service and volunteer experiences.
