
Lindsey Heath, Outstanding Senior, Agricultural Science
Lindsey’s agricultural science degree emphasis is in animal science. She has shown a great deal of academic aptitude and scientific curiosity. She is passionate about large-animal medicine, with a focus on food-animal production, and she has received Empire Cat and Tahoe Truckee Education Foundation Scholarships. Currently, she works as a veterinary assistant at a small animal practice in Reno, and she plans to continue her education by pursuing a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Kallie Carrigan, Outstanding Senior, NevadaTeach Agricultural Science
Kallie deserves this award, as she is always working towards her best. She brings great ideas to the classroom as a student and as a pre-service teacher. She is not afraid to take a challenge head on and strives to be her absolute best, every time. She is going to make an awesome agricultural science education teacher, and our University NevadaTeach master teachers can't wait to see what she accomplishes in her own classroom.

Justin Ramos, Outstanding Senior, Rangeland Ecology & Management
Justin has distinguished himself through exceptional academic achievement and unwavering work ethic. Throughout his college career, he exceeded expectations in his coursework, earning top scores in capstone classes, while maintaining consistent employment. A natural leader, Justin supported his peers, demonstrated professionalism, and served as a positive role model to classmates and as a member of the College’s Range Club. His dedication, intelligence and commitment will positively impact natural resources management for years to come.

Daniela Randolf, Outstanding Senior, Veterinary Science
Daniela’s integrity, dedication, professionalism and enthusiasm are respected by both peers and instructors and make her an outstanding student truly deserving of this honor. Passionate about veterinary science, Daniela actively engages in research that deepens her understanding of the field. This spring, she was awarded the highly competitive Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study Spanish in Costa Rica, developing communications skills that will help her make a meaningful impact in her future veterinary career.

Nadini Gamage, Outstanding Ph.D. Student, Animal & Rangeland Sciences
Nadini is an outstanding Ph.D. candidate. She has a strong commitment to nutrition research and is a team worker, bringing fresh perspectives to collaborative projects. Nadini is also an excellent communicator and was a finalist of the University’s Three Minute Thesis competition in 2025. Beyond her research, she is an outstanding teaching assistant who genuinely enjoys supporting students. Her dedication and collaborative spirit make her a valued member of the Department of Agriculture, Veterinary & Rangeland Sciences.
