The Nevada Equestrian Team welcomes collegiate riders of all ages, majors, and equestrian backgrounds. Whether you're a reiner, western pleasure rider, or ranch rider, the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) offers opportunities for everyone! Our team was created to give college students a positive and supportive environment to ride, compete, and develop their horsemanship skills.
We have around 45 members and currently compete exclusively in the Western discipline. Practices are held weekly in Gardnerville under the guidance of our coach, Jordan Bader.
The Nevada Equestrian Team offers two membership options:
We compete in Zone 8, Region 1 of the IHSA, primarily traveling to shows in California. Long-term, our team aspires to join the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA).
