Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award

(Academics, Experiment Station & Extension)

Purpose

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee for the College, established in 2022, recognizes the exceptional and exemplary work of an individual, outside primary, work-related responsibilities, in advancing the values of inclusion, equity and diversity across the College and University, and among the greater area and surrounding communities. 

Eligibility

The candidate must be a current, full-time College academic/administrative faculty or classified staff member who has not received this award.

Self-nominations are not accepted.

Information required about the nominee:

  1. How has the nominee(s) demonstrated superior leadership and commitment to the enhancement, development and sustainability of diversity and inclusive excellence?
  2. How has the nominee’s contribution uniquely addressed key issues of diversity and inclusiveness throughout the College, Extension and/or Nevada? How is this contribution different from existing activities and projects that address diversity and inclusiveness?
  3. What have been the measurable outcomes? Has this project/program/activity been replicated at other institutions? How has this project/program/activity “moved the needle” in addressing issues of diversity and inclusiveness throughout the College, Extension and/or Nevada?

Example of questions asked about the nominee on the nomination form:

Nominations must be submitted by Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
