Engineering scholarships

A career in engineering can offer students competitive starting salaries and the potential to boost earning power with experience or a graduate degree. But paying for your degree can be a challenge, even if it's a solid investment in your future. Here's a look at some of the resources available to you to help you fund your degree.

Scholarships for engineering students

The College of Engineering offers a number of dedicated scholarships for engineering students. Most of our engineering scholarships are dedicated to juniors, seniors and graduate students. We recommend freshman and sophomores reach out to the financial aid office directly for scholarships and other forms of aid. Eligibility criteria vary and include both need-based and merit-based scholarships, as well as scholarships dedicated to engineering students specializing in certain majors or subfields.

Scholarships range from $250 to $4,500. Some scholarships are renewable for more than one year.

The College of Engineering scholarship committee reviews eligible applications beginning in May of each year. If you are selected for a scholarship, you will receive information about your scholarship amount in the finances section of your MyNEVADA account.
