Summary

Hannah Truby is a journalist, photographer and editor based in the Reno–Tahoe region of the Sierra Nevada. Her work explores the relationships between people, place and culture, with a focus on civic and environmental issues shaping the American West.
As a reporter and managing editor at The Sierra Nevada Ally, she produces investigative and narrative reporting on environmental policy, public lands, and issues affecting communities throughout the Sierra Nevada. She also serves as editorial coordinator for Mountain Gazette, where she develops stories exploring the intersection of outdoor culture, recreation and conservation.
Hannah’s work has been recognized by the Nevada Press Association for excellence in journalism. She holds a Master's degree in Journalism and a B.A. in English and German linguistics from the University of Nevada, Reno.
