Caren Roblin is a seasoned media and communications professional with deep expertise in digital journalism, audience engagement, and content strategy. Prior to joining the Reynolds School, Caren was Director of Content at Sierra Nevada Media Group (SNMG), where she supported multiple newsrooms across Northern Nevada in strengthening digital-first reporting and social media practices. She also spent over a decade at the Reno Gazette Journal, holding roles that included audience analyst, digital editor, and social media manager—helping to guide the paper through its digital evolution.
In addition to her newsroom leadership, Caren has held strategic roles in digital marketing, working with organizations such as MN|G Partners and DailyStory. These experiences expanded her expertise in brand development, digital advertising, and data-driven marketing—adding a valuable dimension to her work in both journalism and education.
In addition, Caren has been the owner of Kaia FIT Sierra, a women's fitness and nutrition program with multiple Reno-Sparks locations, since 2018, which has given her an in-depth understanding of digital marketing from the perspective of a small business owner.
Caren remains active in the journalism community, having served on the Reynolds School Dean’s Advisory Council and as a mentor to students and early-career professionals.
