Summary
Jeremiah Sampson is a local videographer that specializes in documentary filmmaking. A graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno, he has a Master’s Degree in Media Innovation. He is from Nixon, Nevada, a town located on the Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation.
Jeremiah has worked as a cinematographer and camera operator for production companies in the Reno area, as well as the Reno PBS station. At the start of his career, he worked as a production assistant for local companies and for KTVN Channel 2 News. He has also worked as a grip and gaffer on production sets. These experiences inspired him to create his freelance video production company.
During his MA in Media Innovation, Jeremiah created a documentary about missing and murdered Indigenous People entitled, “Not Forgotten.” This project won Best Short Documentary at the 2025 Nevada Women’s Film Festival in Las Vegas, NV. This documentary has also been selected for another film festival, and is pending selection for upcoming festivals.
As an adjunct instructor, Jeremiah hopes his experiences will show students how the Reynolds School's production courses translate to professional work beyond the classroom.
