Summary
Richard Bednarski is the IT systems manager at the Reynolds School of Journalism.
Before he joined the Reynolds School as a faculty member, he completed his master's degree in media innovation from the Reynolds School in the fall of 2021. During his time as a student, he covered the affordable housing crisis, the unhoused community, local environmental issues and more. Prior to this, he did everything from cooking in restaurants to archaeology and conservation work.
With a background in anthropology and photography, Richard continues to work as a freelance journalist creating science and environment-related stories. As a storyteller, he works with video, photography and writing to craft stories focused on not just the problems but how people overcome adversity and reach an ending focused on success and solutions.
