Review the following definitions for Faculty180 and Review, Promotion, and Tenure within Interfolio.

Faculty180 Terms

Activity. An individual record (e.g., a course taught, a publication) that faculty members record within teaching, research, etc.

Activity Classifications. Questions on an activity record that the University asks to collect supplement information.

Activity Input. Questions on an activity form that are usually required in order to save an activity record.

Emulate User. Allows administrators to view the account of another user within their unit.

Profile. Records for information relevant to name, employment, education, etc.

Quicklinks. A bookmarking tool that allows users to designate frequently visited pages in Faculty180.

Section. Individual categories for records within the Profile and Activities pages (e.g., scholarly contributions).

Support Account. A type of administrative account for reporting and troubleshooting (intended only for users without a faculty account managed by OIT).

Unit. Colleges/schools, departments, etc. (generally corresponding to "cost centers" in Workday).

Vita. A standardized template that is automatically populated with Profile and Activity records for an individual user (e.g., an annual evaluation form) and generated for that user within RPT.

Review, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT) terms

Administrator. A user with access and permissions for all aspects of a unit and its faculty users.

Candidate. Individual faculty user.

Case. The review process (e.g., annual evaluation) and all associated materials and requirements, including the packet and completed evaluation forms, for an individual faculty user.

Case Section. The components of a case, typically organized by materials submitted by the faculty user and evaluation forms completed by any reviewer.

Committee. An individual or group responsible for reviewing the case at a particular step in the workflow.

Committee Documents. The Case Section in which all completed evaluation forms are viewable.

Committee Manager. Responsible for managing and completing a particular step in the workflow of reviewing a case

Committee Member. Responsible for viewing/reading, but not managing or completing a particular step in the workflow of reviewing a case.

Document. An external file that is uploaded to a case (e.g., a PDF of a publication).

Form. A questionnaire that is completed by the candidate or a reviewer on a committee (e.g., evaluation ratings and commentary questions).

Internal Section. Viewable only to administrators and committee managers (currently, the University uses an internal section only for storing a PDF of all completed case materials).

Packet. All of the materials that a faculty member submits within a case.

Review. Annual evaluation.

Step. The sequential components of a workflow for a case, typically beginning with a candidate and ending with a Dean/VP.

Template. A blueprint or framework of all of the elements of a case, which is then used to create cases for multiple candidates within a unit.

Unit. Colleges/schools, departments, etc. (generally corresponding to "cost centers" in Workday).

Vita. A standardized template that is automatically populated with Profile and Activity records for an individual user (e.g., an annual evaluation form) and generated for that user within RPT. In an RPT template, the vita can be specified and assigned a timeline, so that all cases created from that template will automatically be populated for the faculty user).
