Inbound Exchange
Inbound exchange students are visiting the University of Nevada, Reno for a semester or year, then returning to their home institution. As an Inbound Exchange student, you pay your home intuitions tuition, yet are subject to all additional fees and insurance requirements of the University of Nevada Reno.
Outbound Exchange
Outbound Exchange students are University of Nevada, Reno students who will be studying abroad for a semester or year at a partner institution. All exchange programs are open to all students. University of Nevada, Reno students pay University tuition and select fees, while tuition is waived at the partner institution.
Outbound Exchange (study abroad) application process
After you identify a partner school, complete the internal exchange application. The Office of International Students and Scholars will review your application and, if approved, nominate you to the partner institution. You will then complete the partner school’s application. Once you are accepted, you will meet with an OISS staff member to review next steps, including travel planning and visa requirements.
