Check-in meeting
If you are a new international F-1 or J-1 visa student, including transfers from another institution or students who have been in Reno on another visa status, who did not pass both OISS mandatory pre-enrollment training assessments, you must attend a check-in meeting in order to be cleared for class registration.
Scheduling your check-in meeting
Check-in meetings can be scheduled two weeks before the beginning of each semester. You may email oiss@unr.edu to schedule your check-in meeting.
- Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Meeting length: Approximately 1.5 hours
- Location: Office of International Students and Scholars, Fitzgerald Student Services Building, Room 120
What to bring to your check-in meeting
You should bring your immigration documents to the check-in meeting, including the following:
- Passport
- Visa
- Form I-20 or DS-2019
- Form I-94
