Summary

Itzel received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nevada, Reno where she double majored in Psychology and Spanish and minored in addiction treatment through the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT). She is currently working on a Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is currently a certified alcohol and drug counselor intern. When seeing clients she primarily uses an existential lens while incorporating person-centered and cognitive behavior therapy techniques as well.
Itzel is passionate about working with the BIPOC community particularly on problems involving identity and multicultural issues. She also enjoys working with clients on a variety of problems including grief and loss, depression and anxiety.

In her free time she enjoys traveling and collecting art from places she travels to. She loves painting, playing ukelele and dogs.
