Summary
Casilde A. Isabelli, (Ph.D. Spanish Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition and Teaching, 2001, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign), is a professor of Spanish linguistics and is currently the interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts.
Since arriving in 2000, Isabelli served as department chair and as the director of the basic Spanish language program (SPAN 111-212) overseeing TA training and program direction. She has taught a range of lower-division, upper-division and graduate-level courses in the Spanish B.A. and M.A. programs, she co-hosted the 15th Generative Approaches to Second Language Acquisition Conference at the University of Nevada, Reno, is the faculty advisor for the University's Sigma Delta Pi (National Hispanic Honor Society) Chapter, and has hosted a number of on-campus scholar visits.
Research interests
Her research interests include Psycholinguistics, Syntactic Processing, Hispanic Linguistics, Heritage Language Acquisition, and Second Language Acquisition.
