These courses focus on humanities, arts and social science through a combination of online instruction, lectures, tours and more! All programs have limited space. Prices are based on Nevada residency, are per person and do not include airfare.

  • About: This three-week Core Humanities session blends online learning with an immersive study-abroad experience. The first two weeks are held online via Zoom, where students explore the emergence of the modern world through major historical, cultural and intellectual movements. The third week takes place in Rome, Italy, where walking tours, museum visits and group discussions allow students to connect course readings to real-world sites and histories. 
  • Fees include: Course registration fees, travel insurance, 7-day lodging, daily breakfast, and other fees. Not included: Airfare to Rome.

  • About: The 2026 Japan Travel Program offers a two-week journey of cultural discovery, inviting students to explore Japan's vibrant traditions, modern lifestyles and regional diversity. Through hands-on experiences and meaningful interactions with local people, participants gain a genuine understanding of life in Japan beyond the classroom. 
  • Fees include: 3-credit course (WLL 295 and WLL 695), accommodations in Japan, travel insurance, class field trips and local transportation. Not included: Airfare to Japan and transportation from Hiroshima to Tokyo on June 2.
