These courses focus on humanities, arts and social science through a combination of online instruction, lectures, tours and more! All programs have limited space. Prices are based on Nevada residency, are per person and do not include airfare.

Join a cohort of your peers for an unforgettable experience. Reserve your space on a Global Humanities trip with a $500 deposit. A portion of program fees may be used to pay hosting expenses. Grants-in-Aid are not eligible for Global Humanities programs.
Rome, Italy: Core Humanities 202
This three-week Core Humanities session blended online learning with an immersive study-abroad experience. The first two weeks were held online via Zoom, where students explored the emergence of the modern world through major historical, cultural and intellectual movements. The third week took place in Rome, Italy, where walking tours, museum visits and group discussions allowed students to connect course readings to real-world sites and histories.
Japan: World Languages and Literatures 295/695
The 2026 Japan Travel Program offered a two-week journey of cultural discovery, inviting students to explore Japan's vibrant traditions, modern lifestyles and regional diversity. Through hands-on experiences and meaningful interactions with local people, participants gained a genuine understanding of life in Japan beyond the classroom.
