Facilities Resource Committee

The Facilities Resource Committee (FRC) reviews requests for changes in classification, assignment, use or configuration of space including the addition or removal of modular furniture (i.e., cubicles); common area signage (including murals, see below); renovation projects with costs in excess of $100,000 and new purchases of motorized vehicles on campus.

Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of the month throughout the year. For additional information, please contact Christina Groso at christinagroso@unr.edu. The deadline to be added to the FRC agenda is two weeks prior to the meeting. Any requests submitted after the deadline will be added to the agenda of the following month.

Murals

Any department interested in installing a mural must receive approval from the Office of the President on the theme and location prior to submitting the request to the Facilities Resource Committee (FRC) for review. Once you receive approval from the President’s Office, please submit an FRC request and include the email approval in your submission. In addition to these approvals, the owning department is required to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that details the requirements and responsibilities related to murals. The requesting department must receive approval from the Office of the President, Facilities Resource Committee, and sign the Mural MOU prior to installation. Any murals installed without approval must be repainted back to the original state at the expense of the department. The FRC coordinator will send the Mural MOU for signature approval after the requestor has received approval from both the President’s Office and the FRC.
