ADA assessment plan

The University of Nevada, Reno is committed to ensuring that our programs, services and activities are accessible to all. Part of that commitment is a regular review of the University's Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Assessment Plan.

What is physical accessibility?

Physical accessibility is the extent to which the university's facilities are readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. An assessment identifies physical barriers preventing or inhibiting access and outlines a plan to eliminate those barriers.

Efforts to remove barriers

The University of Nevada, Reno most recently developed an assessment plan in 2007 and has been working since then to remove the barriers identified. In 2018, an expansion to the plan was undertaken with accessibility studies performed at an additional 14 facilities and on general pedestrian pathways. Efforts will continue annually to remove barriers within funding limits.
