Summary

Mariam loves working collaboratively with students toward their goals, providing clinical services that include individual therapy, group therapy and outreach. She sees each student as unique, considering their history, culture, perspectives, strengths and challenges. Utilizing a Relational, Person-Centered approach, she integrates multiple modalities and interventions to assist students (i.e. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality).

Mariam identifies as a queer, pansexual, biracial (Moroccan/white-American), cisgender woman. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at George Mason University and Master of Social Work at University of Nevada, Reno. Mariam grew up overseas and moved to Reno, NV from the Washington D.C. area. She has a history of advocacy and volunteer service with folks from diverse backgrounds and the LGBTQIA+ community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, visiting coffee shops and taking nature walks.
