Summary

Francesca is a Licensed Psychologist and Research Faculty at the University of Nevada, Reno Counseling Services (CS). She spends part of her time at CS providing individual and group therapy to University students and part of her time conducting research on evidence-based treatments in college counseling center settings. Although trained as a generalist, she has specialty experience and interests in trauma and adversity, suicidality, and working with LGBTQIA+ individuals. She has a strong training background in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and works to integrate these frameworks with other treatment approaches to best fit an individual’s needs. She is dedicated to providing affirming and culturally sensitive treatment to University students.

Francesca is originally from Charleston, SC and received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Alabama and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine focused on treating trauma and grieving children, adolescents and young adults. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and watching baking shows, reading fiction, traveling, and doing anything outdoors.
