Summary

Filiz Sapin works as a researcher at Counseling Services. Her role includes coordinating the Program Evaluation and Research Committee, looking at the efficacy, utilization, satisfaction, and demand for the counseling services. She also serves as the local coordinator of a multisite randomized clinical trial focusing on suicide prevention in college counseling centers. Filiz is trained in Cognitive and Brain Sciences, earning her Ph.D. from the University of Nevada, Reno. Her former research areas include working memory and attention. Currently, Filiz is interested in suicide prevention, school counseling , and protective factors of at-risk youth research.

Filiz identifies as a Turkish American, cisgender woman. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and attending music shows.
