Summary
Angelica Castro Bueno is a Doctoral Psychology Intern from Iowa State University where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. She enjoys working with concerns related to identity development, family conflict, relationship issues, perfectionism, anxiety, and depression. Angelica has experience providing individual therapy, family therapy, psychological assessment, and coaching for neurodiverse students.
Angelica takes a person-centered, multicultural-feminist, and strength-based approach to foster an authentic, inclusive, and collaborative therapeutic space. She aims to adapt therapy to each student’s unique experiences, needs, and values to help them meet their treatment goals.
Angelica received her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Iowa State University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kansas State University. She identifies as a first-generation Latina, DACA recipient, and cisgender woman. In her free time, Angelica loves reading romantasy, eating Thai food, and petting dogs.
