The Center for Student Engagement at the University of Nevada, Reno is committed to civic engagement efforts that support the teaching and learning mission of the University through the co-creation and application of knowledge/action by students, community partners, service recipients and the university and through democratic processes that lead to self-governance.
Students at the University of Nevada, Reno are the future leaders of the state of Nevada. We provide opportunities to actively participate in your community through democratic engagement along with volunteering and community service. All students who volunteer must fill out the University of Nevada, Reno Waiver.
The Center for Student Engagement seeks non-profit and government organizations who wish to join as co-educators by providing valuable opportunities for student involvement. If you have opportunities for students to participate in the work of your organization, please consider partnering with the Center for Student Engagement. Community Partners interested in furthering their partnerships with the University will complete an in-person site visit.

NASPA Lead Initiative
The University of Nevada, Reno is one of nine colleges and universities to be a part of the NASPA Lead Initiative on Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement (Lead Initiative). The goal is to encourage and highlight the work of student affairs in making civic learning and democratic engagement a part of every student's college education.
