Volunteering and Community Service
The Center for Student Engagement seeks to eliminate barriers to student civic engagement by offering community partnerships, resources, and guidance to support and encourage student civic engagement efforts in a number of ways. Whether you're an individual student looking for ways to get involved, or a student organization looking to advance your mission, we can assist. All students who volunteer must fill out the University of Nevada, Reno Waiver found on our forms page.
Donate to Us
Launched in the summer of 2016, UNR GivePulse provides a platform for University of Nevada, Reno students to find and sign up for a wide variety of volunteer opportunities with our many partner organizations on campus and in the community. Signing up for an event lets the organizer know you're coming, and you'll get a reminder. Finally, after you volunteer, you get to log your hours and a reflection that stays on your volunteer profile. Collect lots of experiences and you can share your community involvement with others.
Assistance in Planning Service Projects
For student organizations interested in getting their members involved in a project in the community, the Center for Student Engagement offers planning assistance. We have more than 30 community partner organizations who are engaged in many different causes and are seeking student volunteers. Each of these organizations has gone through an intake process and site visit to ensure that they have safe and meaningful opportunities for students to participate.
