An increasingly important part of student recruitment and retention, scholarships are deeply meaningful gifts of access to education. They are expressions of belief in the students who are working to grow and better themselves every day.
Scholarships are at the heart of the CLA identity, and they are often the deciding factor when a student determines if college is right for them. By reducing the financial burdens that impact collegiate experiences, we can ensure students have access to an education that makes their goals achievable and their dreams realities.
Studying abroad transforms the college experience by expanding how students understand the world, which in turn transforms the student. Because we recognize that not every student's circumstances allow for long stays abroad or might not have the GPA or the resources to support such sojourns, the Dean has created the Global Humanities program, which facilitates for-credit courses with built-in one-week international travel at a lower cost to all students thanks to the Global Humanities Fund.
