Summary

Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English.

I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. My father is from Guadalajara, Jalisco and my mother is from Chalatenango, El Salvador. I graduated from Damonte Ranch High School and upon graduation I enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno. As an undergraduate I joined an amazing organization, Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. Joining Kappa Delta Chi was a great experience that helped me develop my leadership skills and it also fostered my love for higher education. I was the first person in my family to graduate from college. I earned my B.A. in international affairs and Spanish, and my master’s degree in educational leadership.

Currently I’m an academic advisor, I enjoy working alongside with students to develop their academic and personal goals. I was very fortunate to have mentors and a great support system throughout my educational endeavor. Now I hope to give back and to be that support and guidance to all the students that I work with.
