Join us for Data & Discovery – our inaugural celebration of research, discovery and innovation at the University. Open to anyone interested and available, the event brings together summer programming for faculty, students, industry and the community, including:
- Data Science Conference – 3rd Annual
- Wolf Pack Discoveries | Undergraduate Student Research Symposium
- Faculty proposal training and networking events
- Student research workshops
- Research support services information booths – connecting you with core laboratories and all of your research and innovation resources
All sessions are free and optional – drop in for what fits your schedule and interests. Materials from faculty-facing workshops will be available after the week for anyone who isn’t able to join us in person. We look forward to seeing you there!

Wolf Pack Discoveries | Undergraduate Student Research Symposium
Showcasing the research and scholarly work of undergraduate students at University of Nevada, Reno. Browse posters spanning a wide range of disciplines and talk with students directly about the projects they've spent the summer building. This is a great opportunity to support students, who will be gaining presentation skills and adding to their resumes!
Research & Proposal Development Services training workshops and networking opportunities
Providing training and support to strengthen faculty proposal development and boost national recognition for research contributions. Workshops, funding agency panels and networking opportunities help faculty build competitive, multi-disciplinary proposals.
Student research workshops
Building the skills to publish and protect your research, from getting your work into print to understanding your rights over it. Learn how to submit to journals like NSURJ and navigate copyright and open access, so your work reaches the audience it deserves.
Research support services information booths
Connecting you with the campus offices that help move your research forward, from funding and publishing to safety and compliance. Stop by our information tables to meet representatives from University Libraries, Research Computing, Research Integrity & Security, Environmental Health & Safety and others, to learn more about support services for faculty and students.
