Summary

I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences within the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin. I recently completed my Ph.D. at the University of Nevada, Reno where I studied tectonics using structural geology and petrochronology. I study the mechanisms and timescales of crustal deformation with particular focus on the growth and collapse of orogenic plateaus, using a combination of geological mapping and cross section reconstruction, microstructural analysis, and accessory phase petrochronology. I really enjoy studying tectonic processes from the plate scale to the grain scale, and learning how micro-scale processes influence crustal-scale phenomena.
