Summary
I completed a B.S. in Chemistry from LSU and an M.S. in Geology from the University of South Carolina. During my M.S. I researched carbon cycling by microorganisms living on glacier surfaces in Alaska. After my M.S., I traveled for a year and then worked for two years as a chemist at a drinking water purification plant in New Orleans, where I became interested in water systems and water resources. Following previous interests in polar science, I am now a Ph.D. student at UNR working with Dr. Kaitlin Keegan exploring ice formation processes in Antarctica and Greenland. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, skiing, photography, and playing the banjo.
