Non-resident, first-year scholarships

The University of Nevada, Reno offers a generous range of scholarships and tuition reduction programs for domestic first-year and transfer students from outside Nevada and the WICHE region who are pursuing their first bachelor's degree.

Eligible students from WICHE regions can save between $10,500 and $15,000 per year with the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) or Pack Exchange Program (PEP). Eligible students from non-WICHE states can can stack up to three scholarships — The Tahoe Award, The Dean’s Pack Award, and The Honors Award — for up to $12,000 per year.

For maximum financial aid and scholarship consideration, students must have a completed admissions application, transcripts, test scores (ACT/SAT), FAFSA/Institutional Methodology form, and a general scholarship application (MyNEVADA) on file by February 15th.

WUE and PEP are stackable with the Presidential Level Scholarship or the National Merit Scholarship.
The Presidential Level Scholarship and National Merit Scholarship may not be combined.
