Project overview
Students will partake in the three phases of making a short dance film: pre-production, production, and post-production. This project will employ both the technical and creative approaches of screendance. Students will learn production and video editing techniques, work with video and audio recording equipment, and partake in the choreographic process. Additionally, students will learn about dance film festivals and the process of having work juried and screened. Students will have the opportunity to participate in producing a dance film festival. The goal of this project is to provide students with the opportunities to learn about being a working dance artist and gain hands on experience in making screendance. These experiences aim to help student prepare for their own career and creative trajectory upon graduation. Interested PREP students are encouraged to contact Rosie Trump to learn more about her previous work and visit Rosie Trump's personal website.
