Summary

Dr. Genevieve DeBernardis is a Teaching Professor and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She earned her undergraduate degrees from Montana State University, Bozeman, and her graduate degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Her areas of expertise include curriculum development, program assessment, and academic advising. She is passionate about undergraduate education and dedicated to helping students achieve their academic and professional goals. Dr. DeBernardis oversees the Bachelor of Science in Behavior Science program at the University of Nevada, Reno - one of five undergraduate programs in the world accredited by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI). She also serves as a site visitor for ABAI, supporting accreditation efforts at other institutions.

Dr. DeBernardis has developed and taught a wide range of courses in behavior analysis and child psychology. Her work has been recognized with multiple honors, including the College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Advisor, the Bilinski and Bijou Fellowships, and repeated recognition as a Westfall Scholar Mentor.

She is a former President of the Nevada Association for Behavior Analysis and currently serves as the faculty mentor for the UNR Undergraduate Behavior Analysis Club.
