Summary

Kirsten Suarez completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology at California State University, Stanislaus. Following the completion of her Master's degree in 2014, she received her BCBA certification. Kirsten continued to accrue her supervision hours for her Marriage and Family Therapist license. She received her LMFT in 2016.

Professionally, Kirsten worked at a center for children with Autism and other developmental disabilities from 2008-2021. She focused her work in the field of mental health from 2021 on, working with a variety of individuals with mental health needs. Kirsten utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques, including CBT, DBT, ACT, SFT and BAT. Her experience as a Behavior Analyst and Marriage and Family Therapist provides a unique perspective to both mental health and behavior analysis.

Research interests

Kirsten's research interests have primarily been within ABA, including treatment with diagnoses, such as Down Syndrome. She completed her Master's Thesis on staff training of direct line staff in ABA.
