Master of Fine Arts

We offer a low-residency MFA program and a full-residency MFA program. The low-residency program is an interdisciplinary two-and-a-half year program and combines intensive ten-day residency periods each winter and summer in beautiful Lake Tahoe with full-time work done remotely in the student’s home studio in the intervening periods. The full-residency MFA is an interdisciplinary three-year program offered at UNR’s main campus in Reno, NV. Students are provided with an ample private graduate studio space with 24-hour access and approved access to the art studio laboratories.

Students in each program have opportunities to experience the other program’s offerings by taking courses, meeting with students, working with professors and attending artist lectures.
