3D Printing Policy

  1. The 3D printing patron assumes all responsibility for printing materials’ compliance with state law, federal law, and University policies. Further, 3D printing patron’s conduct is at all times subject to compliance with state law, federal law, and University policies. The University, by and through its Innevation Center, reserves the right to refuse to print any material that does not comply with applicable state and federal law and University policies.
  2. The 3D printing patron assumes all responsibility for compliance with applicable state law, federal law, and University policies governing intellectual property including intellectual property infringement. The 3D printing patron is responsible for confirming that printing materials do not infringe on intellectual property rights and agrees to defend and indemnify the University as set forth below.
  3. The 3D printing patron declares that they are authorized to use the content in the file(s) which are being submitted for production and that the use of the content will not infringe upon any party’s copyright, patent, or trademark or other protected intellectual property right(s). 3D printing patron hereby grants a non-exclusive license to the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education on behalf of the University of Nevada, Reno and its officers, employees, and agents to reproduce the materials requested to be printed. 3D printing patron agrees to pay the charges for the processing and production of these objects. 3D printing patron agrees to defend and indemnify the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education on behalf of the University of Nevada, Reno and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all liabilities, claims, losses, costs or expenses to the person or property of another, lawsuits, judgment, and/or expenses, including attorney fees, arising either directly or indirectly from any act or failure to act by 3D printing patron or any of its officers or employees, which may occur or which may arise out of the work requested by 3D printing patron. This indemnity obligation includes but is not limited lawsuits, judgments, and/or expenses, including attorney fees, arising from claims that the printed materials infringe on protected intellectual property rights.
  4. 3D printing patron specifically acknowledges that no guarantee can be made on the production time of prints.
