Summary
My name is Peter Martinez and I am the Coordinator of Career Education and Employer Relations at the Nevada Career Studio.
I am one of the team members in our Studio’s Employer Relations Team along with my colleague Aqueelah Thompson. I coordinate our office’s employer recruitment events, including career fairs, employer tabling, and professional experience programs.
I also have a role in our Studio’s Career Education. I manage the Nevada Career Studio’s robust peer education program, which includes the Career Mentors who provide drop-in consultations to their peers.
I am a first-generation Latinx college graduate. I graduated from Saint John's University (MN) in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in business management. Two years later, I graduated from the University of St. Thomas (MN) with a master's degree in education with an emphasis in leadership in student affairs.
In 2023, I received my certification as a Global Career Development Facilitator.
