My name is Peter Martinez and I am the Coordinator of Student Professional and Industry Experience at the Nevada Career Studio.
I am one of the team members in our Studio’s Employer Relations Team along with my colleagues Gina Russo and Aqueelah Thompson. I also have a role in our Studio’s Career Education. My position focuses on programming for first-year and sophomore students, linking their academic work to career exploration through employer connections.
I manage the Pack Internship Grant Program, the annual program that provides paid internship opportunities for undergraduate students with local nonprofits, public agencies, and startups in the Reno-Tahoe area.
I am a first-generation college graduate. I graduated from Saint John's University (MN) in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in business management. Two years later, I graduated from the University of St. Thomas (MN) with a master's degree in education with an emphasis in leadership in student affairs.
