Katia Albright serves as the leader for the Nevada Career Studio, where she leads a team of 20 professional and student staff. She is an engaging professional with a 15+ year track record of success in leadership, advocacy, and collaboration supporting career development. Katia has extensive experience working with students, alumni, community members, donors, recruiters, and employers in college and university settings, from a 1,000+ student private college to public and private universities with 50,000+ students.
She has served in various past roles, including outreach specialist, degree progress counselor, college instructor, academic advisor, career advisor, career counselor, student center/office manager, and career development coordinator. Katia has experience working effectively and thoughtfully with undergraduate and graduate students: undecided/exploring, LBGTQ, returning adults, STEM, international, rural, first-generation, and multicultural backgrounds.
Katia has a bachelor's degree in biology, a master's in chemistry, and a second master's degree in higher education. She is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator and a Certified Career Services Provider.
