InfoEd Training

Both in-person and online training is available. Below are class descriptions.

  • Introductory Proposal Development: This training class is mandatory for UNR faculty and staff who prepare sponsored project proposals. In this introductory session, attendees will learn how to create a proposal record in InfoEd, add project personnel, enter project direct and indirect costs, upload proposal materials and route the proposal for internal approval. Upon completion of this class, attendees will receive access to prepare proposals in InfoEd. Please see schedule below for class dates.
  • New Functionality Demo: In January 2017, InfoEd is undergoing an upgrade to a newer version. As a result, functionality such as the budget is changing. While retraining on InfoEd is not required, this demo will showcase the new functionality and is recommended for current InfoEd users who wish to learn about the software changes.
  • Advanced Proposal Development: This training class is recommended for UNR faculty and staff who prepare Grants.gov applications. In this advanced session, attendees will learn how to build detailed, line item budgets in InfoEd which can then translate to applicable federal grant proposal budget forms for Grants.gov submissions. Prerequisite: Completion of the InfoEd Introductory Proposal Development class or completion of the InfoEd Proposal Development class offered prior to August 2015. Please see schedule below for class dates.
  • Clinical Trial Proposal Development: This training class  zis recommended for UNR faculty and staff who prepare clinical trial proposals. Please email Erika Waday to arrange for training.
  • Proposal Approval for Area Heads: This training class is recommended for UNR chairs, directors, deans and vice presidents who provide internal approval for their area's grant and clinical trial proposals. In this session, attendees will learn how to approve proposals in InfoEd. Note: If a chair, director, dean or vice president also prepares their own grant proposals, the introductory proposal development class listed above should be taken in lieu of the proposal approval class. Please email Erika Waday to arrange for training.
