Transcript Requests

Records & Registration

The University of Nevada, Reno has several options for requesting transcripts. Please note that per Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents policy, a transcript cannot be produced for any individual who has an outstanding financial obligation to the university. If you have a financial hold and place an order you will receive a communication stating that. Note: Once you have had the financial hold removed please call 775/784-4700 opt. 2 or email to let us know so we can quickly process your request. We do not regularly check to see if the hold has been removed due to volume. 

Unofficial Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts can be obtained at no cost through MyNEVADA or by submitting an Unofficial Transcript Request Form via fax to (775) 784-4283, or in person at the Office of Admission and Records, Fitzgerald Student Services building, 2nd Floor. Requests will be processed within 5-7 business days* of receipt.

Alumni and former students may now log in to MyNEVADA to view unofficial transcripts and educational records. In order to do so you must create a user profile for MyNEVADA. Go to MyNEVADA and select "Activate Profile." Next fill in all necessary information. If your email address is out of date you will need to submit a Change of Address/Email/Phone to Admissions and Records to process. You can bring your documents in in-person to the counter in Fitzgerald Student Services 2nd floor or you can fax the form to (775) 784-4283 with a copy of your photo ID.

If you are unable to successfully create a profile you may call (775) 784-MyNV for help.

Official Transcripts

Students can request official transcripts electronically through the National Student Clearinghouse for $7.50 per transcript plus a $2.25 handling fee per address/order, up to 10 copies per address/order. The requests will be processed within 5-7 business days* after the university receives the request from the National Student Clearinghouse. Transcripts will be sent through US postal service only. 

If your request requires an additional form to be attached to the transcript, please note this in the ‘Special Instructions’ area of the electronic request. You will need to fax the additional form(s) directly to the Office of Admissions and Records at (775) 784-4283.

International Students: If you are an international student ordering a transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse you will need to use the Former Students link. Please enter your NSHE ID in the Student ID field and leave the SSN field blank. 

Please note: the National Student Clearinghouse option is NOT for Expedited requests. If you need to have a transcript processed sooner than 5-7 business days please fill out the Expedited form below. 

*Business days do not include weekends or holidays.

Expedited Transcript

Expedited processing includes requests for two-day processing with pick-up at the Office of Admissions and Records or overnight shipping via Federal Express. Please note: Expedited transcript requests via Fed Ex are not delivered on weekends.


If you need to send your transcript via Fed Ex you may do this for a fee of $5.50 per address. This is in addition to the $7.50 transcript fee. Please fill out the Expedited Transcript Request form and either submit it via fax to (775) 327-2296 or bring it in person to the Cashier’s Office (Fitzgerald Student Services Building, 3rd floor). These requests are processed within two business days*. Please note that Fed Ex packages cannot be delivered to PO boxes.

In Person Pick Up

Please fill out the Expedited Transcript Request Form or go to the Cashier’s Office. Transcripts will be available for pick up after 10am two business days* after the request has been submitted. The cost is $7.50 per transcript.

*Business days do not include weekends or holidays.
