All ceremonies will take place at the University Quadrangle. Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees will be awarded at each ceremony. Tickets not required.

Spring Commencement Parking Information

General parking will be available in the West Stadium Parking Complex, which is north of Lawlor Events Center, and in the Green, Blue and Tan parking lots on the north side of campus. General parking will be free in the parking complex and lots listed during the ceremonies.  Public parking areas are designated for use by faculty, graduates, families and guests. The shuttle service will be operating on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from the West Stadium Parking Complex, and Green lots to the Quadrangle for all guests. Shuttle schedules and information can be accessed via Parking and Transportation Services. Parking and Transportation Services can be reached at parking_questions@unr.edu.

Restrooms, First Aid and Medical Services Locations

Restrooms for general guests are located in between Ross Hall and Thompson Building, which is West of the University Quadrangle.

First Aid/Medical Services are located south of the Jones Center Building in the Silver 1 parking lot. Limited mobility, disabled, and wheelchair shuttle services drop off areas are located at Morrill Hall (south of the University Quadrangle) and at Pennington Student Achievement Center (north of the University Quadrangle in the Silver 5 parking lot).

Inclement Weather Plan

In case of inclement weather for Spring Commencement, the ceremony will be moved to Lawlor Events Center. Faculty, staff and graduates will enter through the Ticket Office entrance. Spectators will enter through the upper-concourse.

Security Information

Graduates:
Graduates should leave all personal items at home or with family or friends. Graduates will not return to the same chair they were initially seated in after crossing the stage. Any unattended items in the graduate seating area are left at the owner's risk.  Graduates are prohibited from bringing large bags, coolers, alcoholic beverages, signage and other items that may distract from the ceremony or obstruct the view of others.

All Attendees:
The following items are not permitted on the University during the Commencement ceremony: coolers or containers, non-service animals, alcoholic beverages, balloons, noise makers, fireworks or explosives, drones or other unmanned aircraft systems, weapons and any other items determined to be a potential hazard.  For safety reasons, all bags are subject to search.
