Best walking areas

About a mile south of campus, Midtown is walkable and rife with eateries, thrift stores, antique shops, and more.

You can also explore the downtown Truckee River area and Wingfield Park. This area hosts Artown every summer and a whitewater rafting festival. Rancho SanRafeal Park and Idlewild Park are also nearby and worth visiting.
