Summer Honors provides a free series of discussions and experiences for incoming honors students. Choose from 30+ sessions exploring the sciences, humanities, arts and special opportunities.

Summer Honors in-person at Lake Tahoe

Summer Honors in-person

Select in-person experiences are offered for Summer Honors participants. Students can apply to the Lake Tahoe Experience, a free immersive retreat held at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe. Here you will enjoy:

  • Guided hikes in the Mount Rose wilderness
  • Science communication workshops
  • Artistic observation
  • Nature exploration
  • An introduction to the University’s Wayne L. Prim campus

How to participate

You’ll hear about Summer Honors in the spring before your first fall semester, so you can start exploring early. Watch for an invitation to the Summer Honors WebCampus page, where you’ll browse sessions and discover topics that spark your curiosity. Choose the sessions that interest you most and shape a Summer Honors experience that reflects who you are and where you want to go academically.
