Event and use-of-space approval process

Step 1: Event checklist

Please see our Event Checklist with steps that must be completed during the request process and recommendations for a successful event!

Step 2: Reserving space through EMS system

Departments and student groups must submit Campus Reservation System to view our spaces, check availability, and make reservations. If you encounter any issues, please connect with our team directly at csures@unr.edu or (775) 784-6505.

Step 3: List your event for review and advertisement

Events can be listed on the University Events page and Pack Life. University Events listed in the Joe are highlighted on our home page.

All student groups must submit their requests via Pack Life to have it reviewed by SEAB.

Please note: Once the submission is received, we will begin processing it within two business days and contact you within 5 business days. Review the checklist with steps that must be completed during the requesting process.

Additional event resources and policies

JCSU outdoor tabling

Any departments or recognized student organizations (ASUN/GSA) are able to make reservations to table at the JCSU.

Co-Sponsor with the Joe

The JCSU provides opportunities for recognized student groups and campus departments to co- sponsor their events. Co-Sponsorship with the Joe Crowley Student Union has the potential to include custom designs for marketing materials, JCSU event costs, and assistance in planning your event.

Our Facility Usage Guidelines outlines standard expectations and procedures for the use of the Joe Crowley Student Union. Additional procedures from the University Administrative Manual may also apply.

Children at events

Review the policy for the protection of all children who participate in university programs or activities involving children or who are University students. View the Child Protection packet.
