Junior, Chemistry w/ Premed Emphasis (Major)

Hello! My role sees me directing the HCSC whilst collaborating in tandem with the Honors College and its advocacies (HCAC, CAB, etc.). My goal is to help build a cohesive and supportive honors student community amongst the vibrant variety of disciplines we represent. Junior, Microbiology & Immunology B.S, Pre-med track

Hi everyone! My name is Rebeca Reyes Diaz, and this is my third year serving on the Student
Council. This year, as Vice President, my role is to help maximize the board’s effectiveness and
serve as a bridge between the council and the student body. I aim to foster community and
fellowship, while also supporting professional readiness within our college. Look forward to a
great year ahead!

As Secretary of the Honors College Student Council, I am committed to promoting clear and
efficient communication within the Council and ensuring information is shared promptly. I aim
to actively uphold and integrate the Honors pillars of resilience, ingenuity, stewardship, and
equity to support my fellow students and contribute to a lasting, positive influence within our
Honors community.

I serve as the Treasurer of the Honors College Student Council. In this role, I manage the council’s budget and coordinate fundraising to support events and programs for Honors students. My goal is to ensure funds are used effectively to create opportunities for students to connect, participate, and grow. I look forward to helping make the Honors College a space where students are supported and involved.

I serve as the Director of Events for the Honors College Student Council. My goal is to plan fun and engaging events where students can socialize with honors staff, community members, and each other. The tight-knit community of like-minded students is one of the most valuable aspects of the Honors College, and is something I hope to contribute to by serving as the Director of Events for the 2025-2026 school year.

Hello! I am a member of the Nevada Debate Union and frequently travel out-of-state for competitions. I also have multiple leadership positions in the Alpha Theta Chapter of Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority Inc.! I'm always down to chat and share any advice!
